Categories Of Submission
Your submission level & type
Whenever I start a session with a new submissive, I ask a series of questions that I’ve developed as a measuring tool to give me a better idea, and fairly instant picture of where you are in your sumbissive journey and also what KIND of a sub you are, or wish to be.
Not everyone can do this, and I’ve developed this over years of interacting with submissives via distance domination and in person.
At this point, it literally takes me inside of five to ten minutes to diagnose a submissive type, needs, and future potential. I need to hear your voice and repsonse which is why I never to this via email, it has to be in real time ( a texting session can also work, but if you can call and talk to me it’s just better). 
As for you, as a submissive reading this, it’s important to note the following:
When you leart about the varied catagories and type of submission, it really can help you find your own path and the best level, area, and kind of submissive you would like to be
It can also give you a good idea of what kind of Dominate you would be interested in submitting to.
Catagories Of Submission Provide a lot of clarity.
I am a Full Spectrum Mistress, so many of my clients come from all different levels, types, kinks, fetish and interests. But it’s true that certain kind of submissives will fit best with certain kind of Dominants, so the more you know what you need/llke and search for as a submissive and COMMUNICATE IT CLEARLY, the better your session will be.
Of course there is plenty of chances and possibilites to experiment and evolve. and I encourage this with my clients as well. BDSM is very complex. So don’t be every discouraged if you can’t zero in on a single type of submissive that fully discribes what you need or who you are, because most subs are a nuanced combination of many, some are switches and many like mutliple types of submission depending on WHO they are submitting to.
Most of us BDSM explorers do not fit into ONE neat single submission or Dominant archetypes – Which is what I love the most about Being a Dominatrix. How compelx mercurial, ever evolving universe BDSM play can be!
I’ve compllied a list of the most common types of submissives I’ve encountered, this isn’t a fully over complex list, but you will be able to recognize the main catagories of submissives and submission below.

Types of Submissives (With Examples)
1. The Submissive Brat
So this type of submission which is A brat submissive, usually will not seem very obedient or even submissive at first. Yet a closer examination will show that A Submissive Brat LOVES to push buttons whilst in play. The seek attention from their Dominant who is a “Brat Tamer” type Dom.
For A Brat Submissive, this very attention is what they seek, it’s their most ultimate reward.!
A Submissive Brat Behavioral Examples: They might talk back, they will playfully disobey orders when commanded a task, and resist being restrained or disciplined.
2. The Service Submissive
I found that ne of the most practiced types of submission is The, service submissives. They are dedicated to performing endless tasks for their Dominants, and executing those tasks/demands/commands/requests to PERFECTION.
This type of servitude usually takes on many real life practical every day elements which include chores, errands, paying bills, day to day running of households.
Now, SOME service submissives are also expected to sexually service their partners and Dominants.
As well as specific service tasks like Human Furniture, Kneeling. Worshipping and Dressing, Massaging, and attending to all their Dominant physical needs.which can be counted as forms that are specific to service submissives.
Mind you, it’s not always the case at all. In True Service Dom Sessions I’ve dome wtih Service Subs NONE of them had the right to touch me sexually in ANY WAY.
Service subs who are sissies or sissy cucks also may only do service work for a hotwife and her bull, without being allowed any sexual interaction or only service sexual interactions such as clean up and fluffing.
Behavioral examples of a Service Sub incluse but not limited to:
- Cooking, serving meals, making meals their partner ordered.
- Serving and refilling drinks to their Dominant and their Dom parties and guests and gatherings sometimes in certain uniforms or specific outfits their Dominant chose for them.
- Sexually servicing their Dominant and even their Dom Guests like a sort of a sexual party favor.
- Maid service and Cleaning – Businesses, Primary Dominant residence and other homes, laundry service and even barthing and grooming their Dominant
- Taking real pride and totally perfecting EVERY task their Dom gives them.
3. The Bottom Submissive
Bottom Submissives love to receive stimulation, but said stimulii may only last for the duration of a session. I find that with bottoms enjoy sensation but many of them are not true submissives, so they’re not really seeking a traditional D/s relationships obaying and taking orders, offering submissive servitude.
SomeBehavioral Examples of Bottom Behavior May Include:
- Needing/receiving sensation stimulation – sensual/soft to hard & painful
- Asking for specific type of stimulation – power play not always involved
- Regaining their control right after a scene or a session ends
- Negotiating limits usually before a scene (BDSM contracts can help)
4. The Masochist Submissive
The masochist submissive is person who really gets off on pain based stimuli –it can be physical, psychological, or combination of both.
So the most extreme form of masochism submission would be a pain slut who needs, skees and enjoys intense pain, impact play, CBT and the like.
Although some Masochists may not hand over psychological control to their partners, and the session would be focused only on the physical masocistic espects.
Behavioral Examples of a Masochist Sub :
- Misbehaving on purpose, fighting back – encouraging physical punishment
- Enjoying/Seeking play punishments like spanking, impact play, CBT
- Trying painful kinks – Piercings, Restraints, Extreme CBT, Electricity Play
- Asking for more increasing with intensity or applied stimulation/punishment
5. The Smart Assed Masochist AKA SAM
A smart-assed-masochist submissive also known as SAM, can be characterized as varying degrees of combinations between a pain slut and brat sub.
Mostly they display a playful side, often only to their Dominate partner or in Dominant Sessions, but to no one else. No one in their public lives is aware of their sub side at all.
The One Difference between SAM and a Brat Submissive is that the SAM subms will go further in craving pain, punishment, humiliation play and exploration of their masochistic side, emotional, physical or both.
Behavioral Examples of Smart Assed Masochists Are:
- Talking back pushing back , provoking , instulting or making sarcastic / mocking remarks to their Dominant.
- Questioning them, and general mouthing off or underminding their Dom in sessions
- Disobeying in hopes of severe punishments, bargaining.
- Ignoring outright a command or when their Dom/Partner is talking to them
6. The Break Me Submissive
When Brats just become mildly petulant and SAM submissives sort of talk back and egg on their partners to ensure the full wrath of their Dominant, The, “Break Me Submissives” Crave and absolutely need the physical struggle.
This is why they’re sometimes known as “Combative Bottom Subs”. So a Dominant who is strong, smart, fast, highly skilled and of course intelligent enough to “break” those types of submissives will be successful in bringing out their partner true submission.
Behavioral Signs of a Break Me Submissive
- Resisting in a physical manner until actually restrained
- Fighting Back by pushing, kicking, hitting potentially kicking etc.
- Running away from their partner.
- Physical resistance in all other forms.
7. The Model Submissive
This type of “Model Submissive” loves ALWAYS looking pretty, showing it off and being the ultimate pride and joy of their Dominant. Usually they will shy away from any activity that may leave marks, simply because it mars their beauty, and perfection. The Model Submissives will usually tend to gravitate towards activities that enhance their beauty or let them see themselves displayed in the most favorable light.
The Model Submissives are usually not into receiving pain, or participating in bondage related activities. Of course, a person could be a model and an active BDSM submissive as well.
Behavioral Aspects of Model Submissives
- Love dressing up in kinky sexy outfits and gear
- Posing for audience, a camera and/or their Dominant
- Extensive shipping trips for outfits, shoes, make up and gear.
- Being high profile and displayed by their Domiant, cherieshed and adored always
8.The Submissive Slave
The submissive slave NEVER stops being a submisisve.
They also give total control to their Dominant or Partner. Basically Submissive Slaves are always owned and typically involved in a 24/7 BDSM lifestyle and/or total power exchange relationships (TPE)

Behavioral Indicators of a BDSM Submissive Slave
- Asking permission for literally everything. From masturbation and orgasms, to eating, speaking or use any facilities in the home.
- Obeying any and all orders – explicit or implicit
- Totally Surrendering control – completely to their Dominant Partner in all things, inside and outside the homelife
- Being sexually available – at all times and according to their partner demands and sexual tastes and commands
9. The Submissive Pet
The Submissive Pets will usually include being collared and treated like an actual pet.. Each pet submissive type has its own norms and expectations,which will be deteremined by both pet and the Dominant or Pet Owner.
Behavioral Indication for Pet Submissives
- Wearing costumes/accessories – like harnesses, collars, tails, ears, riding gear, muzzles, leather and fur gear, etc.
- Posing and moving – on all fours, as well as on a leash, connected to a hitching post, in a pet cage.
- Drinking/ and eating – out of a dish and a water bowl, often time with their pet names
- Obeying without question, takeing very basic/simple commands that will commonly given to pets, including responding to riding crops, finger snap, bringing of slippers, kneel sit, etc.
- Sleeping – At the edge of the bed, on the floor, etc.
